House of Comfort provides dedicated, furnished housing for Veterans in North Texas. We partner with VA offices, VSOs, and community agencies to make sure no Veteran is left without a safe place to call home.

Our Forney residence is a dedicated community home for Veterans. Shared rooms house approximately three Veterans each in a warm, supportive environment. All rooms are fully furnished and all utilities are included. Staff are on site around the clock to provide personal care, medication reminders, meal preparation, and more.

How Referrals Work
We accept referrals from VA offices, Veteran Service Organizations, social workers, case managers, and community agencies.
Submit a Referral
Complete our referral form online or contact us directly by phone or email. Include the Veteran's name, contact information, and any relevant background.
Eligibility Review
Our team reviews the referral and conducts an individual screening. Prior felonies and evictions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis — we believe in second chances.
Placement & Move-In
Once approved, we coordinate move-in and ensure the Veteran has everything they need from day one — furnished room, support services, and a welcoming community.
